Main Principles for a Bachelor of Education Degree

A bachelor’s degree in teaching or education, whether found on campus or online, will include a combination of coursework in liberal arts and science subjects as well as higher-level courses on educational topics that will create a base for teaching career success. If the degree program focuses on training people to teach a particular topic, classes may concentrate heavily on that subject area.

To satisfy state licensing criteria, an educational degree program intended to lead to initial certification would also include at least one student teaching internship.
